The Opportunity:

We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to join our growing team in a remote capacity based in West Virginia. This role will be instrumental in managing and scaling our internal IT infrastructure while ensuring the highest levels of security and efficiency. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the VP of Engineering, the ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills to support our distributed team across California, Chicago, New York, and West Virginia.

 

Your Impact:

  • Lead the management and deployment of all employee hardware and software systems, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Develop and implement IT security policies, including VPN infrastructure and mobile device management protocols
  • Maintain and enhance company security practices, with particular attention to healthcare compliance requirements
  • Manage and maintain the company website (www.primefocushealth.com), ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Oversee IT vendor relationships and manage software licensing and renewals
  • Manage cybersecurity best practices pertaining to internal employees/consultants
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all employees across multiple locations
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Document and own IT processes and procedures for scalability

 

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably in a startup or healthcare environment
  • Strong knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements (HIPAA)
  • Expert-level proficiency with both MacOS and Windows operating systems, as well as iOS and Android platforms
  • Experience with mobile device management and VPN administration
  • Proven track record of managing website infrastructure and maintenance
  • Experience with cloud services and SaaS applications
  • Understanding of SaaS tools for cybersecurity best practices e.g. running vulnerability scanners periodically, email/communication security tools
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to support distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Experience in managing IT investment, budgets and control costs.
  • Experience with Risk Management & Security - Identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT risks, and ensuring the security and compliance of IT systems and data.

Work Environment & Travel:

This role involves a hybrid work model with some potential travel to our San Francisco office and remote work based out of West Virginia. Expect computer-based tasks and participation in meetings and user research activities. Occasional travel (up to 15%) may be required for equipment set up, company meetings, and professional development.

 

Location: This is a full-time, hybrid position based in West Virginia. Regular collaboration will be required with team members across California, Chicago, New York, and West Virginia.
