Primefocus Health is a seed-stage healthtech startup headquartered in San Francisco, originally launched as a venture spinout from LG Electronics' North America Innovation Center. The Opportunity:
We are seeking a process-driven, goal-oriented and highly organized Project Manager to help the Primefocus Health team in a remote capacity based in West Virginia. This role is crucial in ensuring success for our business and customer related operations and projects. Reporting to the VP of Product & Engineering, the ideal candidate will own the scope, processes, tools, monitoring, reporting, analytics and improvements of high-level, high-priority projects that directly impact our business and customers. This position is a full-time hybrid position with onsite presence as per the schedule proposed by the manager.
Your Impact:
- Lead cross-functional and multi-workstream based projects end-to-end, encompassing business/finance, sales, high-level product and engineering domains
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and dependencies
- Run effective meetings and ensure clear documentation of decisions and action items
- Manage project scope and change requests, using agile methodologies where applicable
- Create and present project status reports, analytics and KPIs to leadership and stakeholders
- Implement asynchronous communication practices to ensure all team members stay informed regardless of location
- Create documentation that is accessible and useful for team members working in different time zones
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare technology or SaaS
- Knowledge of agile and waterfall project management methodologies
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite as a project management tool (Jira, Confluence) or similar
- Understanding of software development lifecycle processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication across different mediums (video, chat, email, documentation)
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining project documentation, roadmaps, and timelines
- Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies
- Ability to create dashboards and reports that effectively communicate project status
- Skilled in running effective meetings and facilitating productive discussions
- Expertise in stakeholder management and expectation setting
- Budget tracking and resource allocation
- Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work across different time zones and accommodate global team needs
- Ability to identify and resolve conflicts within teams
- Talent for building consensus among diverse stakeholders
- Capability to remain calm under pressure and navigate uncertainty
- Ability to anticipate issues before they impact project timelines
- Strong problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles that arise during project execution
Bonus Points for:
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.) is a big plus
- Experience working in a remote capacity
- Previous experience working with healthcare payors or providers
- Previous experience with corporate spinouts or innovation centers

Work Environment & Travel:
This role involves a hybrid work model with some potential travel to our San Francisco office and remote work based out of West Virginia. Expect computer-based tasks and participation in meetings and user research activities. Occasional domestic travel (up to 15%) may be required to customer sites, company offices, or to attend seminars, events, trainings, or workshops that the manager deems necessary for leveling up.
Location: This is a full-time, hybrid position based in West Virginia. Regular collaboration will be required with team members across California, Chicago, New York, and West Virginia.
